Balić Winery
Located in Mays Landing, NJ, Balić Winery makes more than 27 award winning fine hand crafted wines with the European accent. Descendants of early settlers of Mays Landing planted Balić Winery, a vineyard since the early 1900's. Savo Balić, a former vine-grower from the Adriatic Sea, migrated to the United States. In 1966, he fulfilled his lifelong desire to bring European accent to the American winemaking scene by acquiring the 57-acre vineyard.
Savo's ancestral knowledge and experience has enabled him to produce wines of superior quality. In 1993, Savo's nephew, Bojan Boskovic arrived from Europe to carry on the tradition of the Family. Natali Vinyards
The Cape May peninsula has a unique climate. For the tender European wine grapes (Vitis vinifera), the Mid-Atlantic region is hostile: too cold, too humid, and too rainy. But lower Cape May's climate is moderated by two large bodies of water, the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware Bay. The configuration and climate parallels a famous French wine-growing region, the Bordeaux, which lies between the Atlantic and the lower Gironde River. Like the the area known as the Medoc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc do very well in this climate.

Wagonhouse
In early 2004 Dan and Heather decided to start a vineyard and winery. They leased some land from Dan’s family who had been farming in Mickleton for over a century, planted some grapes and hoped for the best! Twelve years, 18 – 25 wines, and three little boys later, they are still moving forward with all the energy and creativity they started with! The name, by the way, came from the old wagonhouse on the Brown family farm. The idea was to build a tasting room someday, modeled after that very building. Ironically enough, the building that is NOW their tasting room was once the site of the original wagonhouse for the farm located at 1401 Route 45!
