A Toast to Arlene Blosch
On Sunday, September 24, a special ceremony will be held to honor one of the founders of The 2017 South Jersey Wine and Food Festival, Arlene Blosch, who passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the age of 72. The ceremony will take place at 3:00pm at the Lake, where family and friends will release purple flower petals into the lake in remembrance of Arlene and her hard work.
Arlene H Blosch of Mays Landing passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the age of 72. Arlene was best known for always being on the go. If she wasn’t traveling to a far away land she was helping plan community events such as the Hometown Celebration or Wine Festival. She was known in the community as the “lady in purple.” She was a member of the Mays Landing Merchants Association, Woods Landing Social Committee as well as countless nonprofit and community organizations. She found joy in making others happy.
Fred Kneble, President of the Merchants Association, credits Arlene as being “the driving force” behind the weekend-long celebration of top-notch cuisine and wines grown right here in the Garden State. Kneble said the group was extremely fortunate to have Blosch, who passed away from Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Cancer, as their champion.
We ask you to raise a glass to Arlene to honor her legacy as you enjoy this year’s festival!
